Bone & Joint Pain
We all know that skeletal health affects the health of the entire body. Chiropractic takes a direct approach by addressing the communication channel of the skeleton...the vertebrae that house, protect, and can restrict the spinal cord. By simply aligning the twenty-four movable vertebrae of the spinal column we help your body reduce pressure on irritated spinal nerves, end disruption of communication between your brain and vital organs, or reduce pain and discomfort.
Adjusting the spine can help bones align themselves off of a correctly-aligned spinal column, experience proper range of motion, and maintain healthy joint connections. Joints the connection between two bones that allows proper movement and function. Our body has numerous types of joints, from fairly stable joints (like the sutures in your skull) to synovial joints that move in many different directions (like your shoulder joints, ankle joint, hip joint, spinal facet joints, etc.). When joints move properly, your muscles and ligaments function at an optimal level, and there is minimal wear and tear. This affords function and no pain.
However, joint dysfunction leads to a whole host of problems. When joints are not aligned, the muscles and ligaments cannot function properly either. They will tend to either shorten or elongate, depending on the joint problem. This leads to further pain and dysfunction that compounds until the underlying issue is resolved.
